Syllabus and Papers of Three/four Year Degree Course: New Education Policy
Dear Friends!
in recent days there are many confusion with respect to New Education Policy and pursuing a career in Bachelor of Science/ Arts/ commerce/ management. It has many feasible options like taking one year or two year course and geting certificate and diploma certificate respectively. Along with them, regular three year degree course and recently introduced four year honours courses are also available.
In this regard let us discuss the Course Structure and Syllabus of One/ Two/ Three/ four Year Degree course. State Odisha has provided a model syllabus, which you can avail here.
Each year consists of two semesters and accordingly there are six semesters in total in 3 year degree course. The papers (subject) marks, credits, examination pattern everything will be discussed clearly, hence continue reading to the bottom.
This pattern is based on CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) recommended by UGC (University Grant Commision) and this post takes reference of Universities of Odisha (Core/ Honours/ Major/ minor). Same pattern is followed by all other honours subjects.
Courses available in New Education Policy:
# 1 Year certificate course
#2 year Diploma course
#3 year Degree course (With single or double major)
#3 year degree course (with three core as minor and no major)
#4 year Honours (with major and no research)
#4 year Honours (With research)
Detailed syllabus:
If you want to take a 3 year degree course with single major (Chemistry) and two minor then the course structure of first semester will be:
=>Two Core Papers (CC I and II),
=>One minor paper (from other major papers such as Physics or Maths),
=>One multidisciplinary paper,
=>One Ability enhancement course (AEC as Odia)
=>One Value added course (VAC as Environment al studies and disaster management)
Suppose you choose chemistry Major then as a simple example you may choose Math Minor papers in Semester I , III and V which are same as the Core I, II and III of Math Major and Physics Minor papers in Semester II, IV and VI which are the Core I, II and III of Physics Major.
In case of any doubt , comment to get a solution from us.
